There is no price difference in which cards I use, so feel free to pick whatever appeals to you (There is a list below of the decks that I own-if you would like a particular one, just include in the notes at checkout). What is the Difference Between an Oracle Deck and a Tarot Deck?
A tarot deck consists of 78 cards, with 22 of them being the major arcana or trumps, and four suits of 14 cards called the minor arcana or pip cards. The difference in the different tarot decks available are simply the artwork of the cards. Oracle cards are not tarot cards but they serve the same purpose; a tool to assist in connecting with your spirit guides and angels. Oracle cards don’t have a standard number of cards, each deck varies.
I have personally found the oracle cards more appealing for three reasons. The first is that there are so many choices as compared to the tarot. There are oracle decks featuring everything from angels, animals and mermaids to things such as nature, flowers and celestial themes. Literally there is something that will appeal to everyone. The second reason I am drawn to them is that they are more flexible in the way that you use them. While tarot can be flexible as well, you really have to study the minor and major arcanas and suits; with the oracle cards, the meaning is apparent without reading the accompanying book (although it does give more detail and insight). The third reason is that Oracle cards always have a positive message, wheras the tarot has some cards that to some can appear dark. Even though we know that the death card does not usually mean death, but rather a new beginning, it is still something your conscious mind may see as a "bad" card.
